fixed Mission 3 - Smoke Won’t Respond

In Mission 3 at WP 3 target, Smoke won’t respond to the F10 menu if I ask him to bomb either the truck, the strongpoint or the fleeing truck. After I attack all three and am out of ammo, missed the truck. The mission scripting stops.

Is it in the full version of the mission or the shorter one?

It was the shorter one. Smoke did respond when I asked him to thump the town but not later when I asked him to bomb the targets or attack the truck.

OK, I'll have a look. Seems like I'll be having a lot of extra fun with older campaigns trying to bring them back to shape...

They may be older to you, but for some/many of us - as long as they are being sold, they're kinda new :-). 

Supporting legacy products sucks.

I just flown this mission and checked Smoke's behavior, he attacked all targets in my tests, destroyed them, and made all the necessary radio calls, so I am not sure what went wrong.. but for the  time being marking that I cannot reproduce the problem.

Almost same here. i asked him to attack green jeep i couldn find and was running out of fuel. he said - wilco, and flew east ignoring me

There is something seriously wrong with how AI behaves sometimes, but I have an idea how to fix this. Was it a long or short version of the mission @UN9249?

hi friend. a long i suppose. i took off from carrier than flew nord. refueled. than destroyed few targets and than they asked to kill jeep. i was outtta munition and asked wingman. he deserted to iran instead XDDD  i know your name in campaigns means quality but i couldnt pass it 4 times allready, so skipped it. (but got a good AAR practise )

i think the problem is he is getting outta fuel and ai tries to divert. cause he refueld first, and it takes me 20 min or so to get refuelled. i than i am searching long from ground troops directs without afterburner and so on. and you know how ai fly. so i thing he wants to divert.

My 2 cents. Just flew Mission 3 and I attacked (and missed) the first target with the LGB. I asked Smoke and he killed it within a few mins. I then attacked (and missed) the building with the JDAM. I asked Smoke and he radioed Roger. But it seemed to take forever before he rolled in, I assumed there was an AI bug. But after 10mins(?) he then attacked. Which leads me to believe he had to wait for the JDAM to align. I aligned mine after WP1, but wonder if the AI doesn’t. 
 

PS: I seriously need to brush up on LGBs and JDAMs. Ugh

I flew the short version last night and Smoke attacked the Jeep with guns no problem.  (I killed the other targets myself).  There were some minor bugs though (see my other post).

M03 issues should now be fixed (AI attacking all targets, performing AAR and hopefully managing the fuel better).
