bones1014 Posted August 30, 2022 Posted August 30, 2022 I've been looking through the manual and chuck's guide but I can't find anything about a speed brake indicator or light. Is there one?
Scotch75 Posted August 31, 2022 Posted August 31, 2022 No, there is no indicator. I have often been caught flying with the speedbreak out . You just have to make sure you cycle the speedbreak prior to taxi as part of your pre-taxi checks.Cheers!Sent from my SM-G998B using Tapatalk 4 W10 Home 64Bit, Intel Skylake I5 6600K 3.50GHz, ASUS ROG Stryx Z270F MoBo, 32GB G.Skill RipJaws V DDR4 3200 RAM, Samsung 960 Pro 512GB M.2 SSD (OS), Samsung 850 Pro 512GB SSD, 2TB Seagate SDHD, 2TB WD Green HDD, GALAX GTX GeForce 1070 EXOC Sniper White 8GB VRAM
jaggar Posted October 16, 2022 Posted October 16, 2022 look at the black control on the throttle of the plane. If it is in the up position the brakes are closed, down they are open 1
VeeSPIKE Posted October 19, 2022 Posted October 19, 2022 That faint roaring noise you hear, sounds a little like your gear are down just not as loud? Yeah, that. 1
=475FG= Dawger Posted October 19, 2022 Posted October 19, 2022 You feel speed brakes deployed more than hear them. A seat shaker works well in replicating this. 2
Bucic Posted December 5, 2022 Posted December 5, 2022 4 hours into the module I started using LCtrl+B and LShift+B for fully out / fully in respectively. Now I need to figure out a quick method for checking the afterburner state... Dragon1-1 Posted December 5, 2022 Posted December 5, 2022 In the real jet you'd feel the position of the switch. I like the speedbrake switch on my Winwing throttle for this reason.
