Racoon-1-1 Posted August 31, 2022 Posted August 31, 2022 Since it's often very important to take notes, for example: writing down coordinates of a ground target, this becomes a problem for VR users. So something like a tool where you can copy&paste coordinates to a noteblock (on the kneeboard), so you can then manually transcribe it to your target/nav computer would be pretty nice. Hoirtel Posted August 31, 2022 Posted August 31, 2022 (edited) It exists (as an unofficial mod). Called DCS Scratchpad. Pretty simple, easy to install + works quite well. Edited August 31, 2022 by Hoirtel 2

MAXsenna Posted August 31, 2022 Posted August 31, 2022 Sniped by BN. It does also have a VoiceAttack profile, and while VAICOM has a dictation feature with the Kneeboard add-in, you cannot copy the text like in the scratchpad. Cheers!
sirrah Posted August 31, 2022 Posted August 31, 2022 In addition to all the above: There's already a readback function within DCS core. If you press ESC while ingame, you'll be able to select "message history". There you can readback all communications. It's not perfect, but at least no mods are needed. Hopefully at some point we'll be able to do this without interrupting our session, like for instance have the message history automatically copied to our kneeboard (VAICOM proves that this should be possible). 1 System specs: i7-8700K @stock speed - GTX 1080TI @ stock speed - AsRock Extreme4 Z370 - 32GB DDR4 @3GHz- 500GB SSD - 2TB nvme - 650W PSU HP Reverb G1 v2 - Saitek Pro pedals - TM Warthog HOTAS - TM F/A-18 Grip - TM Cougar HOTAS (NN-Dan mod) & (throttle standalone mod) - VIRPIL VPC Rotor TCS Plus with ALPHA-L grip - Pointctrl & aux banks <-- must have for VR users!! - Andre's SimShaker Jetpad - Fully adjustable DIY playseat - VA+VAICOM - Realsimulator FSSB-R3 ~ That nuke might not have been the best of ideas, Sir... the enemy is furious ~ GUMMBAH

This only helps if the information you want has been added to a radio message, usually co-ords. Then you can't actually add them into the aircraft from the esc menu, this is the case even if they are in the briefing. For those of us on MP servers the ability to store co-ords and add them into the aircraft, while in VR, is an absolute game changer. Considering we cannot create our own waypoints or do anything like this unless in the ME, this simple pad helps fill a major hole in the DCS MP experience. Edited August 31, 2022 by Hoirtel
