Seeker is the missile seeker from the hellfire when it’s tracking a laser, ?00 should be either a cm, wp, or tgt but you don’t have any selected yet. 1

GrEaSeLiTeNiN Posted September 1, 2022 Posted September 1, 2022 There was a lot of discussion on the ACQ source and TADS when the module first came out as it can get confusing in the beginning. You can try a word search on the forums. There is some good info there. I watched the YT video and it shows clicking on the ACQ then ?00 and it brings up the COORD page. However when I do this in the CPG seat it does not bring up the COORD page. Selecting SKR (hellfire missile seeker) as ACQ basically allows you to see where the missile is looking at from the CPG TEDAC display. For example, with JTAC/AFAC (or buddy) lasing, point the aircraft at the lased target area. Select SKR as ACQ and you'll see the missile looking at the target with the dotted cross after initiating the Slave command. The cross won't necessarily be exactly on the target. It's just where the seeker is looking. Fire off and missile should hit the lased target (within parameters). You have to select the COORD button for a TG or the WPTHZ button for a WPT. Did you then put the TEDAC display in TADS mode before slaving? Works on my end. But I find it can be quite inaccurate if clicking with the MPD cursor on the TSD to get a WPT or TG location. Keying in coordinates would be more precise. I use this method slightly different; I enter coordinates from JTAC, and select it as ACQ. I then align (with red tg point on the mfd/map) the AH64 until the (LOAL) square turns solid, and report "IN" Firing from behind cover with Reaper JTAC lasing is boss! Yeah the SKR procedure was just to explain/show what the SKR does. In a real mission, I would also have to enter the coords from the JTAC and look for the target 2 AMD Ryzen 5 5600X | Gigabyte RTX 3070 Gaming OC 8GB | 64GB G.SKILL TRIDENT Z4 neo DDR4 3600Mhz | Asus B550 TUF Plus Gaming | 2TB Aorus Gen4 TM Warthog HOTAS | TrackIR 5 | Windows 10 Home x64 | My HOTAS Profiles
