can not reproduce Massive frame drop with CMWS control panel

For some reason for the past couple weeks I was having an issue with the Apache frame rate.  I was able to narrow it down to when the CMWS goes from it's bit test to displaying the amount of flares and chaff.  You can see by the video attached that as soon as the panel goes from it's bit test to being on the frames immediately drop to an unplayable level.  I've tried everything from deleting the module and reinstalling it, to changing to all low graphic settings.  Nothing helps so that's why I'm posting it here.  Attached is the log file if needed as well.  Any help would be greatly appreciated as I can't fly the Apache until I can figure out what's causing this.  All other modules for fine in DCS.

Just a few thoughts after looking at the log

• Have you got any mods loaded? If so maybe try un-installing the mods just to see
• a few "No suitable driver found" errors... so maybe update your GPU driver.
• Try uninstalling / reinstalling the Syria Map (from log No suitable driver found to mount mods/terrains/syria/assets/assetstextures)
• Try doing a DCS repair https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/support/faq/repair/
• See if the problem occurs in a simple instant action hot start like Caucasus map AH 64D Runway Start

I’ll uninstall the mods again. I’ve tried it and it didn’t help so I put them back in. 
 

I did update reinstall the GPU drivers. I’ll maybe try to rollback to the previous one as well today. 
 

I’ll also try reinstalling the map as well. 
 

I did a DCS repair. It didn’t help. It removed a few liveries. 
 

I’ll try the instant action hot start as well.

Given you have repaired DCS and updated the GPU drivers to the latest, I agree its worth the annoyance of removing the mods again and try the instant action hot start - just incase its a problem with the mission, mission map, or mod.

If that doesn't sort it then I would put in a ticket to DCS. They will want a DxDiag file and other logs - its all described here https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/support/faq/support_ticket/  Apologies for stating what you probably already know, but just in case.

I doubt it is the Apache module because surely there would be lots of folk complaining of the massive drop in frame rates. (For what its worth my own FPS works fine and I was unable to replicate the problem) I am sure DCS have capable folk more able to read the log file and point out the problem.

Would be interested in hearing what it turns out to be.

So I uninstalled all mods, and rolled back my drivers to the previous version.  Also reinstalled the Syria map.  The problem seems to only happen in multiplayer.  Instant action whether being a hot start or cold start doesn't matter.  Works fine that way.  The performance hit is there in the other maps as well on multiplayer, it's just way worse on the Syria map.  I'm going to put in a ticket and see what happens.

I have tried to reproduce this but no luck so far. 

If possible please attach a short as possible track replay showing an example, it maybe something happening in the mission triggering it.

So I found out it’s something to do with the dcs export scripts that’s installed to use the stream deck. I removed that from my scripts folder and it works fine now. Not sure what in there is causing it but at least I know what it is now.

Hi i`ve got the same Problem and fixed it. Go to the AH64 LUA in the ExportModules Folder. Open it with Note++ and search for CMWS and delete the CMWS functions part. (Picture)

After that you cant read the Flares and Chaffs into the Streamdeck but still use the buttons.

I’ll try that out. For now I’ve taken the whole folder out of the DCS so I’m not even using the stream deck.

I had this problem not too long ago.  I fixed it by removing export scripts from my saved games folder.  It seems there was something there causing issues.
