Komet_82 Posted September 14, 2022 Posted September 14, 2022 Hi there Is anyone using the Spitfire Authentikit controlls these days? https://authentikit.org/spitfire-mkix/ I will get into flying the Spit soon and consider building the flight controls. Just wondering how the handling and operating quality of these controlls is? Many thanks Cheers Markus 1
Morat Posted September 21, 2022 Posted September 21, 2022 I have printed and built the Spade Grip for the MkIX. It's perfect - absolutely amazing. You need to be careful when doing the printing to make sure everything fits but there's plenty of help and advice available on the discord. 3
Morat Posted October 20, 2022 Posted October 20, 2022 (edited) BTW, I'm told the Mosquito Throttle is very close to release I've now built the Spitfire throttle and trim wheels, and I'm chasing some self-inflicted wiring issues on the trim wheels but the throttle quadrant is in use. This kit is also very high quality. The throttle quadrant will need some wearing in but it feels great under the hand. Is it OK to publish discord links here? I guess I'll find out.. https://discord.gg/prjEyUmE AuthentiKit discord Edited October 20, 2022 by Morat 2

Morat Posted November 13, 2022 Posted November 13, 2022 I have the Spit IX spade, Throttle and trim wheels. I'm printing the Mosquito Throttle right now 1
Gazzer Posted December 22, 2023 Posted December 22, 2023 This cockpit was made using Authentik controls. The screen is just for getting started on the PC. All flown in VR. 7
Harry.R Posted December 22, 2023 Posted December 22, 2023 Looks awesome Gazzer, just right for battling some 190s.
Slippa Posted December 23, 2023 Posted December 23, 2023 (edited) Gazzer what’s the story with your rudder pedals? Apart from having Supermarine written on em they’re bang on by the look. Are they authentikit too? P.S. Can I have all that and the room to put it in by Christmas please? Edited December 23, 2023 by Slippa 1
Skewgear Posted December 23, 2023 Posted December 23, 2023 So you've built that brilliant cockpit and panel setup ... but then you put on a VR headset so you can't see any of it? DCS WWII player. I run the mission design team behind 4YA WWII, the most popular DCS World War 2 server. https://www.ProjectOverlord.co.uk - for 4YA WW2 mission stats, mission information, historical research blogs and more.

No but if it matches the virtual cockpit it feels fanatic. I haven't nearly as complete as him. But just having stick, throttle and trim wheels match perfectly with the virtual cockpit is super immersive. Same goes for F16. I have the winwing F16 HOTAS and it matches so well with the cockpit you trick your brain. I have some MFDs but I haven't set them up properly so u haven't used them. But I plan on getting the ICP and make a setup so the ICP and MFDs match the virtual cockpit and it will be awsome. I just suck at DIY so I'm not sure how to do it. i7 13700k @5.2ghz, GTX 3090, 64Gig ram 4800mhz DDR5, M2 drive.
Hawkeye60 Posted December 23, 2023 Posted December 23, 2023 I made this entire set. A fantastic addition to any WWII pit! Also made the P-40 trims. Highly recommended! One point, I did not like the cat 5 connectors. I used automotive style with good locks. Bad things happen to the BB-32 if a connector becomes disconnected. DO NOT ask how I know! "Yeah, and though I work in the valley of Death, I will fear no Evil. For where there is one, there is always three. I preparest my aircraft to receive the Iron that will be delivered in the presence of my enemies. Thy ALCM and JDAM they comfort me. Power was given unto the aircrew to make peace upon the world by way of the sword. And when the call went out, Behold the "Sword of Stealth". And his name was Death. And Hell followed him. For the day of wrath has come and no mercy shall be given."
