RWC
Hi developers, Is there any way to have a option to select which CAT's can be active and inactive on the SC ? So far when planes are parked on the CAT area (which we usually see on any of the present photo's), planes STILL try to take of from them and crash into the parked planes. Usually the active/used planes are parked on the deck and CAT's, and have one or two CAT's active/in use for landing and takeoff. See it as what runway is active/inactive on a airport depending on the wind direction. The supercarrier needs this option to activate / deactivate CAT's in use ! Thanks for reading this. Kind regards, RWC. Edited September 16, 2022 by RWC
Minsky
There's no "official" way to do so, and such option would be very welcomed indeed. In the meanwhile, you can block all spawning spots for the catapult in question with statics. 1 2 Dima | My DCS uploads
Nealius
+1 The blocking spawn points works well in single player, but causes issues in multiplayer with "delayed to start," particularly (maybe unique to?) Tomcats.
SlimJimIV
+1 This keeps getting asked for in various forms and as far as I'm aware hasn't been looked at by ED as even a concept, let alone an implementation. 2 1 High speed, smooth brain
Nealius
Bumping this after trying to stack decks and work with AI. Blocking spawns, or even an ability to select spawn point, severely reduces available spawn points. If you want to close down a single bow cat you go from 16 ramp slots to 11. If you want to close down both bow cats you go down to 4 ramp slots. Not to mention, if there are any fewer than 6 available spots clients cannot spawn in Tomcats at all. A selection to choose desired catapult for a spawned AI would be ideal. Edited November 19, 2022 by Nealius 1

slyvenne
This option may be usefull to remove the guy in who waits in the center of the cat in case of av8b harrier takeoff.
AegisFX
I know this thread has been revived several times, but is there a way to at least turn off the rear catapult spawn points when a friendly plane calls in to land or gets in the marshal stack? Planes could still taxi to them, but at least preventing the cat spots from spawning could help in the multi-player environment.
