Engine spools down on take-off run

Hi all,

I put a hot 339 on a runway on SA (mainland). When I push the throttle forward it will accelerate but after a couple 100m or so the engine will spool down. Am I missing something? Flaps are on t/o and brake is in.

Wet runway? In this case keep pushed the relight button of your throttle during all the takeoff run.

Set your thottle to slider?

The controls are working fine. When doing an air start everything works. Also the virtual throttle in the cockpit is still in full forward position when the engine spools down.

Roger!

Just wondered, 'cause it happened to me while in the air and I noticed the throttle moved on it's own, until I corrected to slider. 😉

Yeah, the usual default double bindings for all axis on several devices, I had that as well.

I never needed to put the throttle as a slider though. Just inverting the axes.

I will try again and create a track file whilst at it….

Sorry guys, haven't seen all answers because I switched devices and didn't refresh.

Yes, the runway was wet. Will try the relight button thing.

In the meantime - here is the track:

Have considered Automan's advice (relight button)? That could be the issue, since the throttle seems to stay in place.

Yeah, thank you both - that worked. 👍
