why use USB, when WiFi is much more convenient? .. a bad system? Seems there is no way to keep people happy and the only good system would be having no copy protection at all … this is the same copy protection  that Steam uses, what system would you prefer? 🙄

Most PCs don't have WiFi network cards/devices. Most DCS users use PCs to play.

Saving 20 bucks isnt worth it, in my opinion, it gives your PC a lot of networking flexibility.

Of course it's great general advice but the USB method is more available and very easy esp. as an emergency Internet connection once in a while.

Because his Wifi won't connect. USB tethering is an option for some phones.

His WiFi hardware was fine, he reinstalled Windows and the issue was solved:
