grim_reaper68 Posted November 27, 2022 Posted November 27, 2022 Hi after looking the weapons file, i saw that the weight of the PTB 580 is too high. In fact 580 gal (2200l) with a mean density of 0.81kg/liter, gives 1782kg. If i add the 251kg of the empty tank (i don't know if the weight value is for the fuel+tank, or if dcs add the 2 vlaues itself), we have such as 800 to 1000kg difference with the value that is is the file (2887). 1
Flappie Posted November 29, 2022 Posted November 29, 2022 It seems that AERGES calculations were done with a mean density of 1.2kg/liter. Which reference does say 0.81kg/liter? ---
Flappie Posted November 29, 2022 Posted November 29, 2022 Hm... I read page 10 of the flight manual, which says JP1 fuel density is 0.79 kg/l. 2 ---
grim_reaper68 Posted November 30, 2022 Author Posted November 30, 2022 I've found it on google, i don't know which typre of jet fuel the french airforce use, so i've searched kerosene density. For the 1200 liter tank it seems that the value is correct.
fausete Posted December 20, 2022 Posted December 20, 2022 Thanks for noticing! Corrected internally and hopefully will be available on the next update. 2
Flappie Posted January 28, 2023 Posted January 28, 2023 @grim_reaper68 Is it fixed from your point of view? I see a weight of 1149 kg (12545-11396), which does not even comprise the weight of 2200 liters of JP1 fuel (2200x0.79=1738 kg). ---
grim_reaper68 Posted January 29, 2023 Author Posted January 29, 2023 Hi Yes the values are correct for me. The loadout is good. Just tested it in dcs. The 2200l (580 gal) has 1734kg + 350kg of the tank. The empty aircraft with 100% canon gives 11286, with the empty 2200l: 11636 (11286+350), full 2200l: 13370 (11286+2084). For the 1200l the full tank weights in fact 1149kg (898+251), also checked in DCS. If i could make a little request for the tanks? Could it be possible to have both in liters . Or maybe the official name of them, which are RPL 201 for the 2200l/580gal and RP 35 for the 1200l. I don't know if in Spain they have other denomination.
Flappie Posted January 29, 2023 Posted January 29, 2023 (edited) Thank, I did not make my calculations with the right tank. I'll make the request. Edited January 29, 2023 by Flappie ---
