Flying the Tomcat so track files unfortunately end up spiraling into the ocean instead of showing the problem, but here's some issues I've noticed after extensive tanking from an S-3 set to "Recovery Tanker" orbiting the boat:

Before hailing tanker over radio

When the tanker is in left turn aft of the ship returning to BRC in a conservative bank angle, he suddenly pulls about 60 AoB into the rejoining aircraft just prior to rolling level, nearly causing mid-airs with joining aircraft. 

Tanker should not be suddenly increasing bank angle before rolling out on heading.

After hailing tanker / While plugged in

Before beginning his left hand turn, he turns right, then turns back left, throwing off anyone who's plugged in or trying to plug in.

Tanker should not be turning opposite of orbit direction before commencing orbit turn.

Partly through the turn, he increases bank angle for a bit, and then after some time reduces bank angle. 

Tanker should remain at a consistent bank angle until tanking is finished/aborted.

Partially reproduced offline with the Hornet. When making the racetrack turn prior to hailing the tanker, his bank angle wobbles before settling around 22° left, then before rolling out on the straight he suddenly increases bank angle to 45° left then reverses to 3° right bank before wings level, making a real-world rejoin off his left wing hazardous during a turn. After hailing the tanker and getting into precontact, and eventually plugging up, his bank changes from 10° left to 5° left for a bit, then increases back to 10° left. 

I need to reproduce in multiplayer as well because some of this seems more pronounced online.

Cursory test on singleplayer in MT just to check the orbit (AI uncontrolled, commanded to launch via F10 menu), and he's still a bit erratic.

- On the straight legs his heading yaws left by about 1 degree per 10 seconds or so with wings near level.

- Turn aft of the ship starts with a drift left at -2deg bank, gradually increasing to -23deg then settling at -21deg bank.

- On rollout for the upwind leg he increases bank from -21deg to -42deg, then turns right +40deg bank because he overshot his turn to upwind

- Prior to turn ahead of the ship, he banks right +31deg then banks left -36deg before settling around -26deg

- On rollout for downind leg he overshoots/overcorrects as well, increasing to -43deg bank, then correcting +4deg right

I haven't tried plugging up yet.
