Using George from CPG seat makes wrong replies for speed or altitude decreases

If you are in the CPG seat and moving more than 40 knots and then ask George to slow down, he will reply 'speeding up'. If you also command george to decrease altitude, he say 'coming up'.- the same as when you command him to increase altitude.

I think George is reading the aircraft's current parameters and choosing a voice line to represent the direction he plans to go. So say you're in a hover and set for 70kts, then bump it down to 40kts, he'll still say "speeding up" if he hasn't reached a point where the opposite voice line would apply. Same seems to apply to altitude commands.

I am getting same responses as you. They both do and don't make sense. But as long as I am getting response at all I am all good since it means George got his command and is responding to it.

Hi @skypickle

Though I understand this can be confusing in some circumstances, @Tholozoris correct. George is, in fact, reading the current readings and reporting what he will do to reach the commanded instruction. Again, this can be a bit confusing, but it is logical if you think about it.

How can it be logical if I am at 70 knots, tell him to slow down and he says 'speeding up'? But when at 40 knots I tell him to slow down and he says 'slowing down'.  That logic escapes me.

What was his comanded speed when you were at 70 knots? And what speed you comanded him to go to next?
