jack333 Posted December 21, 2022 Posted December 21, 2022 I would like to make a request to ED and that is that when we fly with the sun against us we can put on a kind of visor that darkens the screen a bit to be able to distinguish the numbers on the HUD. Thank´s 9
Dangerzone Posted December 25, 2022 Posted December 25, 2022 Nice suggestion. The smoke visor would be great in the Apache as well for seeing the images in the IHADS clearer too in certain situations.
SharpeXB Posted December 25, 2022 Posted December 25, 2022 The M-2000C has a sun visor. Not sure if that’s the only module with one. i9-14900KS | ASUS ROG MAXIMUS Z790 HERO | 64GB DDR5 5600MHz | iCUE H150i Liquid CPU Cooler | ASUS TUF GeForce RTX 4090 OC | Windows 11 Home | 2TB Samsung 980 PRO NVMe | Corsair RM1000x | LG 48GQ900-B 4K OLED Monitor | CH Fighterstick | Ch Pro Throttle | CH Pro Pedals | TrackIR 5

DD_Friar Posted July 29, 2023 Posted July 29, 2023 (edited) Just listened to a pod cast on the Rotary Wing Show Episode 108 about a British pilot who had a flare from a Chinook he was escorting go through his window and burn him. https://rotarywingshow.com/108-apache-flare-clive-richardson/ Ironically his mission was due to start in the later part of darkness and he knew that when he arrived on site it would be daylight and he would not need his night vision glasses. He made the call to his ground crew who had to un bolt the night vision stuff to put on a visor. This call saved his face as the flair scraped off the visor. The point to my story is that I don't think the Apache pilot can have a flip down sun visor like fast jet pilots due to the IHADS monocle? Although the ground I am standing on could be a bit shakey and happy to be proved wrong with contra evidence. Salute PS Whilst looking for the same thing I found that there are slidable screens on the left and right of the dashboard to shade the MFD's (no default key binding) DD_Friar Edited July 29, 2023 by DD_Friar Visit the Dangerdogz at www.dangerdogz.com.
