Nealius Posted December 28, 2022 Posted December 28, 2022 Flak 30 20mm with min altitude restriction set to 150ft still engages below 150ft. In this case as low as 36ft AGL. Server Track File Fast-forward until the attack runs on St. Omer airfield. 1
ED Team NineLine Posted January 11, 2023 ED Team Posted January 11, 2023 Might be similar to fire at spot where the AI overrides the command. I will check. Thanks. 1 Forum Rules • My YouTube • My Discord - NineLine#0440• **How to Report a Bug**
ED Team NineLine Posted January 12, 2023 ED Team Posted January 12, 2023 So sadly the track was too complex and didnt play back. So I did two tests. 1) I created a basic mission with an AI aircraft flying against the Flak 30 with minimum Alt set and it worked fine. 2) I converted your track to a mission, deleted all the extras out and flew a Mossie over the noted AI with the 150 min attack altitude and it worked as expected as well. Where you trying to get the AI to fly that low? I also tried the AI in the #2 test and it was less inclined to stay so low and of course the Flak 30 attacked. The AI I kept somewhat high, the min altitude restriction I put in place for the player so they don't get aim-botted. I'll try to reproduce with a simple mission; could be an SP vs. MP thing.
Nealius Posted January 15, 2023 Author Posted January 15, 2023 (edited) @NineLine I isolated the issue. The altitude engagement settings are MSL when they logically (at least to me) should be AGL. If the AAA unit is placed on elevation higher than the min alt engagement restriction then there is effectively no restriction. I don't know if MSL instead of AGL is intended, but there's no notation in the editor telling the user that it's MSL rather than AGL. Edited January 15, 2023 by Nealius

Yeah that is an issue of a few things in the ME, I will see if this can be added. Thanks for the follow up. 2 Forum Rules • My YouTube • My Discord - NineLine#0440• **How to Report a Bug**
