PatientMental76 Posted January 5, 2023 Posted January 5, 2023 During full afterburner gaining speed why does the F-14B rapidly tilt up & down like a fast seesaw?
Spurts Posted January 5, 2023 Posted January 5, 2023 What are you doing with the stick during this time? What speed do you see this in?

scommander2 Posted January 5, 2023 Posted January 5, 2023 I have seen this issue regardless DCS version. My scenario was 30K feet, > 1 March, and the altitude hold AP on. Spurts Posted January 5, 2023 Posted January 5, 2023 well that will do it. Alt Hold is not designed to cope with AB accelerations, it can't command trim change fast enough.

Spurts Posted January 5, 2023 Posted January 5, 2023 The issue is that you are using AP in a way that it isn't designed for.

RaisedByWolves Posted January 6, 2023 Posted January 6, 2023 Anybody mention you shouldn’t have auto pilot engaged with afterburner use as it can’t cope with the acceleration? 1

Im having a hard time controlling the plane in a straight line during full afterburner at high speeds, anyway to correct this?

Spurts Posted January 6, 2023 Posted January 6, 2023 have realistic expectations though, you will not get a hands off level trim at max speed. AP "might" help once acceleration rates die off.
