Bog9y Posted January 10, 2023 Share Posted January 10, 2023 (edited) I need help to get DCS running again. I bought new RAM and since installing it I was getting the BSOD. The RAM I bought is the same as my previous one G.SKill 3600 MHZ CL16 but instead of 2x16 Gb I upgraded to 2x32Gb. The 32 Gb sticks run at 1.45 V. I had XMP enabled and my motherboard is a MSI Tomahawk B450 Max. Anyhow, I was able to start DCS , load a mission, take off but as soon as I make a 180 degree turn I would get a BSOD. I tried reseating the RAM sticks. I tried running the memory diagnostic but that also crashed. The BSOD error codes were various ones including a Kernell one. I restarted again this morning to problem solve the issue, DCS would not start and I would get the crash log screen. I was able to start one other game so I thought maybe DCS needs a repair. Tried running the repair and that crashed with the dcs json error lexical error invalid char in JSON text error code. And now every time I try to repair or start DCS I get this error and it won't start. I have swapped my memory sticks back to my 2x16 gb ones but that hasn't fixed the error either. I tried renaming the Saved games folder but that doesn't make any difference. I tried removing the autoupdate.cfg file but then the game says it can't start because it hasn't got this file. I'm lost and haven't got a clue how to fix this. Any ideas?
