As far as we know, HB didn't intend to reveal the Phantom until release - their hand was forced after certain folks with inside info repeatedly and unprofessionally hinted in public channels that the project had been picked up again by a 3rd party dev. That's just my point of view as an independent neutral observer.

Yeah, I know the background Story with the Phantom, I was very very disappointed when I learned that it was postpobed/canceled. Thats why I said last year that I'm extremely happy that HB took over the Project and make it not only their new Flagship Module but also having it served as Software Framework for future Modules, incl. Jester 2.0 which are all in all reasons to be extremely happy.

I do not blame them for missing release Windows, but I'm a friend of meaningfull Communication. Thats why I made the above Statement which I mean to be a general Process (not only HB) as the Community wont get unnecesarrily hyped and then Disappointed like the Kiowa Drama (please refuse to act on that example, I also know the background with Polychop).

I still believe that Dev Teams in general would have an easier life if their Products would be announced past QA Test and when a release date can be given. But I mentioned that way too often and it does not seem to care anyone, thus Dev Teams have to life with a hyped and mad Community if goals cant get reached as planned.

Heatblur F-4E module 3rd party has only 2-3 years ago. The old Belsimteck project, has none to do here.

The actual RAZBAM module has not developing from 10 years old, was planned, but tecnologies required to build that module only was available 3-4 years ago, as ground radar. Dont throw a lair only to attack a 3rd Party. But that "fact" ED F-16C, AH-64 and others was developed from 2010 when ED show a 3D models?

Didn't know that yet. Airbus, Boeing, LM, etc. neither I guess...

Not attacking anyone, I was just correcting the misquote.

I couldn't care less actually, F-4E is ready when it's ready.
Makes it easier to not be disappointed when it only releases in 5 yrs or whenever. We have many other toys anyways.
Same I said to myself about the F-15E from FEB 2013, back when it was "not in development".

It started in 2012. They had progress towards it but they have been restarting that project since then. If it's the case where the models were shown off back then as well, then I would say that they've been in development for that long as well, though I haven't been around for that long and have only heard of the F-15 situation, nor am I attacking them (I quite like the module).
