LOMAC and BS Have the best misson editors of any flight sim (in my opinion). But in BS it is very difficult to get ground and static objects in the right place. For example it is very difficult to place farp object in a farp without ending up in the middle of a helipad. This could be solved by adding a satillite view to the mission editor map, like LOMAC.

Also, the paratrooper and soldiers are awsome and with triggers they open up alot of options. however they dont appear in the encyclopedia. furthermore, the soldiers are always kneeling, witch looks stupid when on the move. the paratroopers look good on the run, but most countries only have soldiers. It would be ideal if one could choose soldiers or paratrooers for any country.

Other heliports such as a hospital, grassy landing zone, and possibly off shore platform would be very useful.

I would like to help but I wouldnt begin to know how.

I have the same problem when creating missions with Farps, i spend like an hour or more just trying to get placement of everything in the right place... ie fuel and ammo dumps, refueling ,power and supply trucks... constantly running the game to make sure i can refuel, re-arm etc.

Surely there is an easier way to do this? cant even make templates with static objects which would make it a whole lot easier once u have placement sorted out.

The problem with aligning objects in the Mission Editor is a known issue at ED. Some objects are off by as much as 12%, some are spot on, it's hard to get them right.

They have stated they will look at a Satellite view in due course, but it does not appear to be a priority.

You can already make templates of units, and you can make templates of missions also. What template are you asking for?

I use a base map with a Farp on it. I took my time making it and wanted to keep using it. So most of the missions I make launch from the same farp. going to difrent areas of the map. it works very well I have made over 15 missions out of 1 farp. I am now working on a second location farp for future missions.

You can't include static units in Templates...at least I havent managed it...and static objects are bugged because they (a) can't be hidden in the F10 view no matter if Enemy Externals are disabled and (b) all static icons in F10 view initially appear Blue...but then go to Red if you click on them.

Just a couple of related niggles.
