INS Alignment Problems

I have been away from the Mirage for a good while and I was wanting to retrain and get back in the swing of things.  However, when going through the COLD START training mission on DCS, the INS will not allow me to put in new coordinates into the system.  I check that my right knob is set to N and then change the left knob to VEI (STBY).  Next, the coordinates are given and I press the 1 button on the keypad to open the Northerly coordinate and nothing happens.  

I have even went to the next mission where you can look through waypoints.  In this mission, the INS is fully aligned and all systems are up and running.  The lessons asks to press the PREP button.  When I do, nothing happens.  

Am I missing something, or are the missions broken?

Some of the training missions need to be updated.

Training Mission 1, "Start up from cold and dark" is one of them.

• PREP 00 cannot be edited (that is why you are stuck) and SOP is to use WPT (BUT) 20 instead, therefore you'll need to select PREP 20 prior to carrying out the alignment as instructed in the training mission.

• There's also no longer the need to enter leading zeros when entering a waypoint's altitude i.e. entering 37 is as good as 00037 now.

• As the Mirage now spawns with wheel chocks, at the end of the session, you'll want to ask the ground crew to remove the chocks, prior to releasing the handbrake and getting ready to taxi.

With these missing pieces of information, I've completed Training Mission 1 without issue.

Hello. You can speed up the process INS Alignment? (No simulator time acceleration)

There was such a possibility before. Alignment happened in 1-2 minutes...

Wheter the quick alignement is available is defined in the mission editor by the mission creator. You can check if it is available in the kneeboard.

And I need to set not ALN, but ALCM. Right?
And it will be just as accurate.

Yes, set it to ALCM.

Yes and no. It is just as accurate or worse.
