Fleet Air Arm Corsair (Corsair MK2)

Thought I'd post as i'm curious if we might get a Fleet Air Arm Corsair in the future, essentially a modified F4U-1D with clipped wings and a stall strip along one of the wings to help cure the stall behaviour at low speeds. Not sure what other equipment was changed, fitted or removed other then those two things. Would be nice to see it for us Brit Lovers, if only to give both the US and UK their first naval aircraft.

We'll probably have to settle for fleet air arm liveries and say; meh close enough.

Having recently looked into this myself I found that the clipped wings was only the start of the modifications required to produce a Corsair II/IV.

  1. Clipped Wing
  2. Modified Cockpit equipment (Radio, Pilot Harness… etc)
  3. Vents on the fuselage for carbon monoxide(?) removal as they were concerned that the exhaust pipe were too flush with the fuselage

I would love to see additional types added at some point.
