bones1014 Posted January 25, 2023 Posted January 25, 2023 Can the new INS system in the EE variant be used for INS bombing? Sent from my SM-G781U using Tapatalk
felixx75 Posted January 25, 2023 Posted January 25, 2023 I assume, it's for navigation purposes only. 1

Sent from my SM-G781U using Tapatalk The INS is for Naviguation only, this is the most bare metal version of every other F1 1 My Setup : i5-4690 3.50GHz + 24GB RAM DDR3 1600MHz + MSI RTX 2060 Super Ventus OC + 2 SSD + 4 HDD + Oculus Rift CV1 + TM T.16000M Hotas Super Etendard for Life !
bones1014 Posted January 25, 2023 Author Posted January 25, 2023 Yea, now that I've flown it and see the lower INS accuracy than the M2000 I can see that it won't work.
Schmidtfire Posted January 26, 2023 Posted January 26, 2023 Technically, you could probably go low alt level release with HD bombs with a manual release. Put a waypoint over target and a final fix not too far away. Not a great solution but should be helpful for striking targets at night.
WinterH Posted January 28, 2023 Posted January 28, 2023 In a way, I am using it for bombing. It is a WIP effort though. But 5nms from target waypoint, start pulling up to 30 degress @4Gs and toss 8 SAMP 400s seem to work well enough for me. The system has no interaction with your sight or any sort of targeting aid, it is strictly for navigation. However, it is helpful for navigating to/lining up with a toss bombing target, and let you know you are at the distance to start your pull and execute your toss.
