BubiHUN Posted January 29, 2023 Posted January 29, 2023 Is it realistic as the F-14 needs about half throttle to "get connected" to the catapult?
DD_Fenrir Posted January 29, 2023 Posted January 29, 2023 Yes. You’re having to overpower the holdback to lock into the shuttle. 2
draconus Posted January 29, 2023 Posted January 29, 2023 The devs said they'll get to better ground friction modeling some day. For now it can be a bit sticky as a workaround for sliding on a carrier. Win10 i7-10700KF 32GB RTX4070S Quest 3 T16000M VPC CDT-VMAX TFRP FC3 F-14A/B F-15E CA SC NTTR PG Syria
Gun Jam Posted January 30, 2023 Posted January 30, 2023 at least tomcats aren't bouncing all over the deck, splodn' and falling into the drink like f-18s any day online. I think what we have now is a solid compromise. 2

A better compromise would be ED actually defining a carrier deck as something with the same characteristics as ground so no weird fudge was needed at all. 2
