Hi.

I originally thought the same as you,the PVI800 and the INS system works independently from ABRIS,until I noticed this in the game manual recently.

I did some tests and the information on it looks like this.

Nothing will happen to the INS when the count down reaches 0 now in the sim.

If you change the mode on the top line from Work to Check, the values showed on the page will change to a fixed preset value, but the interesting part is you will also noticed the "SELF COOR" on the PVI800 panel will also change accordingly.(although this won't affect the read out on other instruments")test7.png

So why will the INU selfposition on the PVI800 change to the GPS pos on the ABRIS in this check mode if they are not linked?

Interesting find thx.

Does this now mean that Abriss automatically updates the pvi-800?

I'm looking forward to trying it out myself.

If I understand correctly it should.

But unfortunately I don't think it has been implemented in our game yet.

If you enter the target point in PVI800 in entry mode, then switch to work mode, and then select target point again, the blue box will flash inside ABRIS at that specific location.

Clearly these 2 interact with each other.

Very interesting I also looked in the German manual(my language) and it says the same.

Thanks to @Hobel,who helped make a report on the Ru forum.👍

And it's a manual error

This is a DCS manual incorrectness. The text was taken from the civilian version of ABRIS from other aircraft. This is not the case with the Ka-50.
Will fix.

only one thing should be said, then this should not work ingame either, but still that happens?
Do I understand this correctly?

Yes,I think this should not happen either in theory, but I'm not sure.

Would be a nice feature tough..

Why is the military not using a good feature present in the civilian version?

i7-14700KF 5.6GHz Water Cooled /// ZOTAC RTX 4070 TI Super 16GB /// 32GB RAM DDR5 /// Win11 /// SSDs only

DCS - XP12 - MSFS2020

Because the military is not using Ka-50 at all. They're using Ka-52 which is an entirely different beast in terms of avionics. Ka-50 is a few prototypes all the way from the 80's, and all the action they ever had was slinging some rockets in Chechnya.
