investigating MT VR Display issue

Hi, DCS MT works well in 2D. I see a significant performance improvement. But in VR, I get some kind of screen overlap (at least this is how I interpret it - see images below) and the performance did not get better (FPS remains the same).

 

Troubleshooting steps:

Repair DCS

Delete fxo and shaders

Reset GPU driver to factory settings

Update GPU driver (6900 XT)

Update Windows 11

Use VR headset with cable, with air link

Reset VR headset to factory settings

Stopped using Oculus tray

Several restarts

I'll see if I can reproduce via your track, but have you tried to do a full repair, and make sure no mods are loaded at all? Thanks.

Ok, thanks. I tried with my G2 and no issues seen I will ask for someone on the team with the same headset to take a look.

I had this! In DCS settings, use the preset low. There was a setting enabled that caused this for me, I think it was motion blur

Ok good point, OP please make sure Motion Blur is off, it is broken currently. Otherwise, let me know if it persists.

I can confirm I had the same issue with Quest2 and motion blur on in MT

I've never tried motion blur, even before I went VR-only. Is it something people actually find useful/enjoyable?   Seems like it would be a distraction, especially in VR.

I've had the issue with the Reverb G2 initially as well. Doing a full/slow repair along with cleaning shader caches and restrung the headset worked...
