I am looking for a good, powered hub, that doesn't spike up and down - in other words, Thrustmaster Warthog friendly. I lost the PCB board on my throttle some time ago, and I've been weary of plugging it into a powered hub again. Currently, I have about ten peripherals using USB. The only thing I am running on my PC is DCS. With so many USB items, powered is definitely the way to go. Especially, plugged into one port on the PC. I welcome any suggestions for a good hub that I cam mount on my sim seat and role with.

I've had one of these mounted to the side of my rig for a while now and it's working great. Right now I have a VIRPIL Throttle and CM3 base connected separately to it, along with a Logitech g13, keyboard, Heusinkveld sprint pedals, and a charging cable for a DelanClip. In the past I've also had a Thrustmaster GT300RS wheel connected as well and it's worked perfectly so far.

AngleOff66 - Powered vs unpowered makes a difference on performance due to the voltage pull. Unpowered is using the PC for voltage, and you have 7-10 devices all pulling from one connected port on the PC, whereas on a powered hug, each port is individually powered by the external DC voltage plugged in to its power source. No bottleneck. :My problem is the Thrustmaster Warthog HOTAS is vulnerable to any power fluxuations and can burn out the PCB. But I THINK as long as I have it plugged into my UPS, that should take care of any power spikes.

Afaik, only the first batches of the throttles PCB had that issue. Running mine for 8 years by now directly from the 5 different PC's I used it on since then.

Maybe you can track board serials which were affected and see if yours is among them.

I discovered something interesting about my hub yesterday.  I started getting BSODs and after a memtest found my memory was failing.  (Replacements on order).  So, after powering down the unit, I thought to hit the switch on the power supply, but the motherboard was still glowing.  I unplugged the power supply, but the motherboard was still glowing.  I unplugged my powered USB hub, and the motherboard stopped glowing.  The powered USB hub was feeding power to the motherboard.  I don't know if this contributed to the early failure of my memory sticks, but the hub is gone from my setup now.  I hope this helps.

Might be an idea to name the brand/type
