Replaying track show wrong flight

Hi,

This is the 2nd time I try to watch my case II, or case III successful landing and each time I play the track it shows me diving into the water about 10-6 miles from teh carrier.

How do I remedy this?

I've had similar issue when flying the F-16 where the recorded track showed me as crashing when I WAN NOT!

Tracks, especially longer ones, are unreliable. There is no way around it.

What you can do to improve the accuracy however is:

1) Make the flights as short as possible

2) Have as little AI in the mission as needed

3) Fully wipe your controls, preferably at the very beginning

I was coming to land from 20miles and the flight was not longer then 10 minutes. Is that considered long?
AI was limited - it is one of the default case landing, only I copied it and put myself 20miles from teh carrier.
What to you mean by "Fully wipe your controls"?

Move your joystick around full range every direction, same for throttle - full forward and back to idle/off.

Will give it a try but how does that effect recording?

Idk, it wasn't my advise. But I guess it allows synchro of the controls or sth.

Tried your suggestions.

It did not crash this time but instead of landing it started flying up n down endlessly.

Is this a known bug? 

You mentioned earlier that there is nothing to do about it? That is odd.

If the track doesn't work for you, you only have workarounds. If you want to watch the flight from the cockpit view use screen recording software instead. If you want external views you can fly on dedicated server and use the track from the server.
