Dragon1-1
I can't believe it's not a wishlist item yet. Spitfire has no parking brake, and IRL, you wouldn't be using the brake during runup checks before taxi. You'd think ED would come up with them on their own, given all those iconic Battle of Britain scenes of chocks being pulled from Spitfires before they take to the sky, but apparently not. So, for the record, please add wheel chocks to Spitfire (all warbirds could use them, really, but Spit probably the most). 4
algherghezghez
Totally support this, we need chocks!
razo+r
Chocks for all warbirds is already a wishlist item since sept. 2021...
Screamadelica
Apparently large blocks of wood are in short supply in 1940's Europe. Sort of work around for anyone with a TM Warthog throttle to simulate the Spitfire's wheel brakes in lock position is to assign them to the slider axis on the throttle unit. I have them double bound to the joystick as well to allow for "tap, tap" use whilst taxiing, and use the axis for pre-flight run up checks, etc.
algherghezghez
I use that workaround as well, but we need chocks and ground crew to hold the tail if we want to properly test the engine without nosing over
algherghezghez
Now that the others warbird got the chocks is there any chance that the spit won’t be left behind?
Screamadelica
Hopefully coming to an airfield near you soon. Guess all the allied warbirds are next.
Nealius
Still no chocks? Mossie, K-4, and (I think) A-8 have them.
