I'm new with DCS and have trouble to understand when setting up monitor the meaning of MFCD, LEFT_MFCD, RIGHT_MFCD etc.

I can't find any explanation of these.

Check the manual. MFCD = Multi Functional Color Display. The cockpit screens surrounded with buttons.

In the F/A-18 Hornet, the windscreen has a display, the HUD - Head Up Display.  Then there are two Digital Display Indicators (DDI), left and right display screens if you will, and they are both black and white screens. Then there is another, the Advanced Multipurpose Color Display (AMPCD) lower in the center in front of the flight stick. The AMPCD is commonly referred to as just the MPCD; it is the only one that has color.

Iirc, manuals are in the documents folder of your modules.

Go to your game install directory

find mods/aircraft/yourmodule/documents

You also have fantastic guides at https://chucksguides.com/

Thanks all for your information! I have now found the specific modules manuals.

What I'm was seeking at first hand, was a manual about DCS itself, explaining all the common terms and how to start playing with DCS. For example explain what MFCD is.

The FAQ explains lot of details, but I think it should include more about the first steps with DCS.

MFCD in the setting or viewports is used to export some of cockpit gauge or display into part of screen or secondary/3rd.. 4th  display etc..

The default MFCD did not help much actually. User usually find out they need customize the viewports.lua in order to export the correct panel. dont bother with setting untill you start build something like those
