There are some inaccuracies, but according to the DCS manual, we have the V-1650-7 engine. However, ED lists the wrong engine ratings. The ratings in the manual are for the -3, which needs to be corrected. I have tried finding the engine specs for the -7, but I could only find the ones with unrammed filtered air. The parts with ram air is missing. Perhaps someone has a better chart. I submitted both for clarity. This one is known, but fix won't be coming any time soon if ever.

Does anyone know the history on this issue? Why are we using the -3 specs when all D model P-51's had the -7 variant?

It is just dcs manual error, engine which is modeled in DCS P-51 is V-1650-7.

Got it. I see that now.

Taking this issue a bit further, I put on my best Chuck Yeager jacket, and gathered some data. I looks like ED modeled the "WITH RAM" performance to match "NO RAM" column of the -7 chart.
