Hi all,
I rememeber it's an issue present since very beginning, anyway I had a flight yesterday and roll trim appeared too fast, almost impossible to bring it back to perfect centre using stick trim hat.

Even worse using keyboard default binding (LCtrl+\ or Ctrl+,): even with a very quick tap - it makes the jet quickly bank 30° or more.

I also looked for any trim centre function, but did not find anything. So for now I just removed roll hat from roll trim functions.

Any update on trim speed adjusting possibility or did I maybe miss something during this months?

P.S. I'm using OB, 100% updated of course.

Thanks

I'd like to bring this back to the top.  I'm lazy so I like to fly hands off as much as I can.  Any chance this gets fixed?  Anyone know if there's a lua file to edit?

Any update on here. Even with the Trim sensitivity sliders set its still an issue.

Do the special options trim slider sensitivity sliders actually do anything yet or are they just placeholders ?

Hopefully this will be addressed. At present if you use aileron trim its almost impossible to centralise it again. Be nice to know exactly how the sensitivity scales are meant to work.

I'm just trialling the module, the first impressions are very good - I like how special options and mission editor specific stuff are right at the front of the manual. But... does the trim sensitivity do something at this moment? And what will it do, if it doesn't?

The manual doesn't make it clear - I'd assume it changes how fast the trim is changed by the trim hat - which would be a game-changer and a recipe how it should be done in DCS in general! But the manual doesn't make it clear. The only alternative that comes to my mind is that the actual trim effect (flight model) would be modified, but that sounds a bit silly - why to mess with FM, when you can just give us various "speed" (offset to the real one) how the trim changes.

IIRC it was how the the trim would respond to the buttons/trim hat in the free community module. Like the A-4E-C. Haven't tested the new option to be fair. You can probably test in ground with the Controls Indicator to see the behaviour.

Then it doesn't seem to do anything. I tried elevator trim -100 and +100 and it took 7-8 seconds to go from extreme to extreme in any of the settings. But yeah, if it affects that thing (speed of the trim change when the trim hat button is pressed) it will be exactly what is missing (and often asked for) in many modules.

As far as I remember, that's what we wished for.

The Special options Trim sensitivity are still non functional. They can be set to varying settings but have no effect in game.

Still? I haven't tested in a while. Not sure if a track would be suitable.

Sure feels like it does very little, if at all.

I basically had to unbind my aileron trim as to not accidently tap it.

Even a reset trim button would be very helpful.
