Which DCS version? Do you have OpenBeta or Stable installed?

No need, I'm here! 😃

@Thumper68 First, ensure you are runnng the right version od DCS Open Beta:

version.jpg

Then check this page of the module manager:

sinai.png

If you can't find anything in there, please attach:

  • your dcs.log file (from Saved Games/DCS.../Logs)
  • your autoupdate_log.txt (from /DCS World OpenBeta/)

this is what I have. The module manager in the Terrains Tab tells me I can buy it. But I did buy it lol

OK, but are you 100% certain the account you're using in DCS is the one you used to purchase the Sinai terrain?

The account used in DCS is displayed at the top of DCS main menu.

Hmm.... I see now auto login seemed to have used another login name for the Sinai map and the F15-E Preorder. I only have one login that I use to fly, <profanity> how can I get both of these put over to the right place and not have to pay again? I was kind of wondering why I had no miles to use? Please tell me there is some way to fix this lol

Hey, I'm having the same issue with Sinai now showing up for installation after purchase, except I only have the stable version. I believe its up to date version 2.8.4.39731. It doesn't show at all in the terrains tab (for purchase or otherwise) of the module manager. Same account/name used to purchase and log into the game with.

This is your problem.  It's only available to Open Beta (Requires DCS World version 2.8.6 or above! ) currently.

"If the product description does not have information about which DCS World version you should install, you only need to have the "Stable" version DCS World installed on your PC."

^ doesn't that mean available to stable as well?

I agree that they should explicitt state that OpenBeta is required when new releases arrives.
You are not the first, and not alone to miss this.
Every release of a new module some people gets extra disappointed.
Just so you know, Stable and OpenBeta can be installed side by side.

Unfortunately, I don't have room on my drive to have both. Thanks guys.

yep, who would have thought that a 500GB drive is no match for DCS meanwhile. I think in the long run it will outgrow my 1TB DCS drive just as it surpassed all other before.

from 256GB to 2x256GB in Raid-0, then 3x256GB in Raid-0 and now a 1TB nvme and I start wondering again...

you can update your stable to the current open beta. it is pretty easy if your familiar with the command prompt. look for Skatezillas updater utility. You can either download the updater, or look through the thread, he describes how to do it with command prompt.

I should add if you do update, It's a good idea to keep a copy of the config, and missions folders.
