ADDING DOWNLOADS, CAMPAIGNS, MIZ FILES LIVERIES ETC

I CAN EASILY ADD THE FILES WHEN BOUGHT AND DOWNLOADED FROM dcs. but how do you add the multitude of free stuff you can get from the forums, complete PC numpty so step by step guide would be much appreciated

Almost every item at User Files includes instructions on where to put them, just follow them.

Yep, just put them (operation Jericho) in the advised DCS.open.Beta\MISSIONS folder, but they won't show when opening a Mission in the game .

The editor how ever sees them there by opening the folder ..

Strange, the contents of the Missions folder shows up un my DCS just fine:

 

 

I have my missions separated by Map for historic reasons, the current DCS is able to show the Map that each mission uses, so that it's no longer needed.

All the others in the left column are there (sorted by plane etc).

My Missions just a few, and not the stuff i saved in the game's MISSIONS folder.

1) The "Missions" folder for custom stuff is supposed to be in C:\Users\.... etc.... etc.\Saved Games\DCS location, NOT in the main game folder as shown on your second screen;

2) Do you own and have installed all the maps and units required by these missions? They won't show up otherwise.

Maps yes, nada related to DCS in C\Users\ ... etc

On my case, the image from within DCS, corresponds to this disk folder:

 

 

The path is /Saved Games/DCS.Openbeta/Missions/  ... (saved games shows up as "juegos guardados" on my spanish windows)

Creating a saved games with those folders in that c drive location made a quite mess in the My Missions folder ..  is there anyway to reset the game's reading it properly, or refresh it?

/Saved Games/ is a special Windows folder, you can’t create it like you do with a common folder … what happened to your original /Saved Games/ folder? .. did you copy/pasted it someplace else?

@jackd Rudel and I are talking about the standard C:\Users\[Your profile name]\Saved Games\DCS.Openbeta\Missions folder, which was automatically created by the game when you installed it and where all missions created in full or fast editor go by default.

You don't create it, it should already be there, and that's where you're supposed to place any custom missions.

ADDED after reading back. It works fine since i moved my 'savedgames' folder from my boot drive and *username* folder to another drive with these tips:
