Can I program chaff/flares?

I don't like dumping chaff and flare at the same time, can I program so I can control the dispensing a bit more? Maybe one chaff per button press and no flares? The TEWS chapter didn't tell me much, or am I blind?

Programing is not implemented yet. But in the Backseat you should have the possibility to just dispense the one or the other by a switch (WSO, Right, pretty aft) Manual Page 509

Has anyone tested this? I tried it and it didn't seem to work, so I was wondering if maybe I just did something wrong.

You also have a select switch for chaff, flares or both for pilot. Called the dispense select switch.

I tried that and it still just pumps out the default set of chaff and flares.

you can only dispense chaff and flares at the same time currently. there is zero control over countermeasures.

FYI

I managed to change the countermeasures program to 4 flares only for MAN 1 program and 4 chaff only for MAN 2 program by editing the ALE45PRG lua file in the scripts folder of the module (Mods\aircraft\...), just be aware that the original values will be rewritten after each update. I use Ovgme to swap my custom file with the original after each update, easy fix !

That's not necessary since you can do that in Saved Fames folder which won't be overwritten each update.

Path is the following: C:\Users\yourusername\Saved Games\DCS\Config\F-15E\ALE45_PRG.lua

If there is no such file - create it or copy from main folder in Program Files.

You can also put NCTR table there.
