Hi,

I'm getting significantly worse performance since the last update, both at nighttime and during the day. Also some of the roads are purple.

I'm playing in VR on a quest pro with the latest Nvidia drivers

please attach your dcs log from saved games dcs log folder it should have some clues.

If you have not already remove any unofficial mods and run a slow repair or verify if steam.

In NVIDIA control panel
Try:
low latency - ultra
shader cache - unlimited
threaded optimisations - On

EDIT:

A reduction in performance on Syria has been reported by the team.

thanks

Thanks for the quick reply. Verifying on steam has fixed the problem with the purple roads but I'm still getting worse performance than I did before the update. I've made the changes on the nvidia control panel which you suggested, although I couldn't find the shader cache option.

The log is attached

Thanks again for the help

I know this is bug is known to the team however I’m noticing performance issues too. Both MT & non-MT. CPU usage at 100%, memory 89% (32GB), GPU 100% (3090 RTX). Preload radius set to 35300, visibility range high.

Same. Since the big update a few weeks ago the Syria map is unplayable for me now so I just avoid it, which is a shame as I had just bought and started playing the dominant furry campaign. My rig performance was great up until the update. Is it possible to uninstall updates (don't think so, but thought I would ask)?

Hope it gets resolved soon as it's very frustrating.

Same. I'm on hold until discovered, recognized as a performance fault, and fixed.
Very frustrating jitter.

You can revert to a previous version of DCS, but you loose all the updates. Not only on a particular module. (Which would be cool, but probably too much overhead for the dev team I guess).

If you're not on Steam, it's basically just running the Updater in a command window and specifying the version.

https://forum.dcs.world/topic/94816-guide-info-dcs-updater-usage-version-numbers-module-ids/

But it's much easier just using Skatezilla's GUI Updater/Launcher Utility.

Thanks maxsenna.

Amazing. So I can just choose to go back a couple of incremental updates to the one just before the big Syria update?

Thanks again

Yes! Have a look into the change log thread to find the version number you want.

Cheers!

I was just about to open a new topic but I think the issue I've noticed on Syria map has its place here:

Many flickerings on the shores of the sea. No issue with other maps boarding a sea ( Caucasus, Hormuz, Marrianas,) but I have the issue with Sinaï map too

Thanks again MAXsenna. I already had the Skatezilla GUI Updater/Launcher Utility installed, but didnt use it for much other than updating the game, and didnt know I could use it to revert to specific previous versions.

Tonight I went back to v 2.8.6.41363 (pre the large Syria update) and now I have my butter smooth performance back so I can play again.

Cheers.
