solved using VR, F10 Map Zoom not staying at desired scale when returning to cockpit View and back to F10 map

I have an issue with the F10 map and the Mi24P

i would go to the F10 map, and zoom out so i can see a larger area of map.

But when i go back to the Cockpit View and then go back into the F10 map, i am zoomed in again, and then i have to zoom out again.

I do not have this issue with most other modules (AH64, Harrier, A10C2, F18, these modules have the F10 working normal with the scale being where i last zoomed to)

 

am i doing anything wrong?

i am still having this problem

in all aircraft, i dont have any issues using F10 map  except for the Hind.

only in the HInd, i have an issue where i zoom out to a desired level .. then when i go back into the cockpit,  F10 brings me so zoomed in, that its distracting as a VR user, to continue to zoom back out, everytime i switch from F10 to cockpit view.

i am still reporting this problem as of DCS version DCS 2.9.6.57650

in Multiplayer and VR (i tried the Hoggit training server) when i would go to F10 map, i am zoomed in.. and scroll out to zoom out...

once i jump into F1 cockpit view, and then go back to F10 map, i am once again zoomed in, and go through the trouble of zooming out AGAIN

 

i do not have this problem on desktop screen mode.. only VR

Hi @hannibal. I've just made a small test: F10 does not change the zoom level. LCtrl+F10 does, and centers the view on your aircraft.

Try this: assign a joystick button to the F10 command (not the LCtrl+F10 command) and see if you keep having your issue.

wow.. im sorry to have wasted your time,

i have like 10 controllers connected to my PC.. so i guess once in a while i mis-assign button functions...
