SickSidewinder9 Posted August 17, 2023 Posted August 17, 2023 As of the most recent open beta patch, lowering my threat warning volume via the knob doesn't seem to do anything. All the different sounds the RWR makes in the F-16 are really annoying. Even on a fairly empty map, the E3 spikes get annoying without being able to turn the volume down. Please fix. Thanks in advance. Oh and GM radar freezing is definitely still broken.

SickSidewinder9 Posted August 18, 2023 Author Posted August 18, 2023 (edited) Hm. It definitely seemed like the audio changed a bit with this patch. Certain small things. Especially with srs; everyone is quiet. In game radio speech temporarily lowers beeping in the cockpit while radio is receiving. External view jet roar not as loud. Am I really the only one getting this? I am not using any sound mods. I haven't downloaded any new mods in a while. Lowering missile warning lowered all the RWR. Kinda like the Hornet. Which needed lowering too. I will try to attach a track, but idk if I'll get anything meaningful. Edited August 18, 2023 by SickSidewinder9
Furiz Posted August 19, 2023 Posted August 19, 2023 I did a small test and THREAT knob does reduce volume of RWR but some of the sounds are gone completely, its worth taking a look. F-16C - RWR sounds.trk 1
Solution SickSidewinder9 Posted August 21, 2023 Author Solution Posted August 21, 2023 Solved: I had checked Loudness Equalization in my Realtek app thingy. I unchecked it and volumes are back to where I expect them to be. For a lot of things, lol. 1
Shrike88 Posted August 22, 2023 Posted August 22, 2023 Noticed this also about sounds missing or intermittent. Ran a repair. Seems the lock warning works, however the launch warning does not emit on missile launch. I had to spam press the H - Handoff and other RWR pushbuttons to generate the launch warning tone. Ill have to go back to the books for a detailed writeup on how its supposed to work, however Im sure this is not correct. Ill run another repair just in case. Not sure.
