Hello,

I have played DCS regularly for over a year now and I just upgraded my PC to have a better experience but since that the game crashes after about 15 min on every multiplayer and singleplayer session. I have no mods, it is a fresh Windows install with drivers up to date . I have tried to slow repair the game. Do a clean DCS install and tested it on multiple aircrafts (mainly M2000C, Mirage F1 and F-16 and a bit of Tomcat). I tested my ram with memtest86 and everything seem to work correctly. I don't have any crash in other games. At this point I have no further ideas on how to fix this.

Specs : Rizen 5 7600X, 32 GB DDR5, AMD 6750XT

I post the four last logs of crash that I have. Two were on 4YA servers and 2 on Enigma's server. It doesn't appear to be related to what's happening in game. The crash happened on the ground or in flight.

Thank you in advance for your help.

hello. although there is nothing in your latest log stating not enough memory, you should make your pagefile static size.

https://www.thewindowsclub.com/increase-page-file-size-virtual-memory-windows

also not stating anything about it in log, try to set the "disable hotplug" in options.

good luck

Hello again,

I have tested with an increase pagefile and disabling hotplug and it seems to help tremendously. I have been playing for an hour straight without crashing.

Tonight I had another crash unfortunatly but it doesn't seem to be the same issue.

I tried a lower preload radius and it seems to help too.

I have been playing for more than one and a half hour and no crash so far.

Thank you for your help

Maybe your pagefile is on a nearly full drive. Please run this command in a "cmd" window, then paste the result here:

wmic pagefile list full

The pagefile is on the main disk only adn I have 1.4 TB of memory available

AllocatedBaseSize=32768
CurrentUsage=0
Description=C:\pagefile.sys

TempPageFile=FALSE

OK. I don't have many ideas left at this point.

Ensure all your PC cables are plugged in and well seated, especially those for the CPU (sometimes two cables are needed), and those for the GPU (same thing).

You can try upgrading Windows to W11. Some users say it fixed their crash issues.

Hi, I bought a new PC last year and had exactly the same issue, after trying everything mentioned above I returned it (twice) they conceded that it was a CPU cooling issue, faulty fan and MOBO and not enough or incorrectly applied thermal paste on the CPU.

I did a bit of thermal stress before removing the thermal paste of the CPU and the processor reached about 70 °C in DCS. It is supposed to be working fine below 80 °C.

After the replacement of the thermal paste, the temperature in DCS is about 69 °C so i don't think it was a thermal issue.

I will do further testing on the next open beta release to see if it changes something.

I suggest checking your graphics card's temperature and core frequency against the reference graphics card's specifications.

if the core frequency of your graphics card exceeds the recommended values, try lowering it.
