razo+r
I've created a custom weather preset for myself and now the top clouds create a visible pentagon pattern. Spoiler The custom weather: Spoiler visibleInGUI = true, readableName = 'Test Wetter', readableNameShort = 'Test', thumbnailName = 'Test', levelMap = 'cloudsMap01.png', detailNoiseMapSize = 9000.00, precipitationPower = 1.00, presetAltMin = 100.00, presetAltMax = 1000.00, layers = { { altitudeMin = 1000, altitudeMax = 2500, tile = 5.000, shapeFactor = 0.100, density = 0.4, densityGrad = 0.300, coverage = 0.8, noiseFreq = 2.658, noiseBlur = 0.429, coverageMapFactor = 0.00, coverageMapUVOffsetX = 0.00, coverageMapUVOffsetY = 0.00, }, { altitudeMin = 2500, altitudeMax = 6000, tile = 9.000, shapeFactor = 1.000, density = 0.2, densityGrad = 1.000, coverage = 0.1, noiseFreq = 2.658, noiseBlur = 0.429, coverageMapFactor = 0.00, coverageMapUVOffsetX = 0.00, coverageMapUVOffsetY = 0.00, }, { altitudeMin = 6000, altitudeMax = 6500, tile = 0.500, shapeFactor = 1.000, density = 0.8, densityGrad = 1.000, coverage = 0.4, noiseFreq = 2.658, noiseBlur = 0.429, coverageMapFactor = 0.00, coverageMapUVOffsetX = 0.00, coverageMapUVOffsetY = 0.00, Could someone at ED look into this? What parameter do I have to edit to get rid of it? Or perhaps ED could refine the system a bit further? My settings: Spoiler
ED Team BIGNEWY Posted September 27, 2023 ED Team Share Posted September 27, 2023 Hi, currently it is best to stick to the pre-sets we already have, using the older weather system will lead to this issue, you can see it in older mission also that have not been resaved with a pre-set. we have more weather features to come in the future. thank you Forum rules - DCS Crashing? I didn't set the clouds to the old particle system, I left it on the default, new one. This custom preset is based on a preset defined by ED for the new clouds. I don't see how changing some numbers makes the cloud go from the new to the old system. Edited September 27, 2023 by razo+r
