Hi

I start DCS openbeta MT from steam, but i get the following error message:

"nulldcs world failed to get authorization data. error code is: 403 No saved authorization found."

It then displays the entire list of DLC I own, and that's a lot, I can't even scroll to the bottom and see what options the pop up box offers. If I press enter DCS loads up, I'm logged in, but no of my modules appear. But they are registered as installed in Steam. DCS opens open, logbook is updated, I'm logged in, but only the free DCS modules are displayed, and the few free mods that I have installed. See screen shots below.

Please advise

/Thomas

Hi,

if you want to use steam you need to unbind your steam account from your dcs account.

You can not run stand alone and steam version at the same time.

Login to your dcs account page and unbind your steam account and you can continue.

if you wish to use stand alone leave it linked and you can continue to use the stand alone version.

thank you

I was able to unbind my Steam link however I'm still unable to access some of my modules. I checked my licenses and they are not showing up either on the list for these.

Thank you!

Thanks for replying silverdevil! I had forgotten that my Steam account was linked to DCS but have used standalone Beta for years now. This is where you bind/unbind Steam in your profile:null

Which I have unbound which means I am no longer linked to Steam anymore. This is my module view in DCS showing that all of my modules are installed

I am not sure how long it takes for ED to recognize that my account is no longer linked to Steam. If it's not sorted by tomorrow I guess I'll have to submit a support ticket.

Thank you!

@Monkman911
If you have purchased modules on Steam, and play on Standalone, obviously your Steam account must be linked, or else the game won't see the licenses. Or am I misunderstanding you?

Cheers!

All of the blocked modules were bought online through the ED store. Everything worked fine until yesterday evening when I went to fly a mission with my Discord group. I read that ED is cutting the umbilical cord to Steam so I'm wondering if that screwed something up? The only modules I can use right now are FC3 and third party (RAZABM) modules.

Thank you for the replies guys!

Oh, I see. Anyway, it's the other way around. If you play the Steam version, you need to unbind, but if you've purchased everything through the ED store, there's absolutely no need to bind it too.
ED is absolutely not cutting any umbilical cord. But because grifters were exploiting a loophole, you have to choose if you want to play the Steam version. For Standalone, nothing's changed really.
I'd remove all mods and do a full repair at this point. You don't have any free trial modules installed by chance? If yes, have you enabled 2FA? You might try to rebind Steam as well. Your error is kinda curious.

Cheers!

If you have modules from steam and the eshop you should leave you steam account bound and continue to use stand alone.

All of the disabled modules were bought through the E store. They show up in the module manager as installed so I believe it's an authentication issue with DCS itself.

Thanks Bignewy!
