HHHHHHHHHHH Posted October 13, 2023 Posted October 13, 2023 I saw in the razbam discord earlier today that they were developing a more in-depth IFF interrogator and transponder simulation, with the different modes properly represented. From what I understood, they want to share this system with other developers. I know that the F1 (at least the ones we have so far) do not have interrogators but they do have transponders. I think that the more realistic IFF could improve the cold war time period, placing more emphasis on intercepts for visual identification. Is this something the Mirage F1 developers may consider implementing? Thanks. 2 1
Iron Sights Posted October 13, 2023 Posted October 13, 2023 I think the F-1 can be interrogated for IFF, but cannot identity IFF returns from friendly aircraft. You can turn it on, but I think most aircraft IFF in DCS anyway, whether it’s on or off.

ALL do 2 Intel i7-12700K @ 8x5GHz+4x3.8GHz + 32 GB DDR5 RAM + Nvidia Geforce RTX 2080 (8 GB VRAM) + M.2 SSD + Windows 10 64Bit DCS Panavia Tornado (IDS) really needs to be a thing!

Yeah, that's the only exception as Deka implemented a custom IFF functionality that only works between JF-17s. 3 Intel i7-12700K @ 8x5GHz+4x3.8GHz + 32 GB DDR5 RAM + Nvidia Geforce RTX 2080 (8 GB VRAM) + M.2 SSD + Windows 10 64Bit DCS Panavia Tornado (IDS) really needs to be a thing!

Be cool if they got their heads together with Aerges and Razbam, then we would at least have a few planes with working transponders. All of DCS MP would implode if it were to be actually used though. 3 New hotness: I7 9700k 4.8ghz, 32gb ddr4, 2080ti, :joystick: TM Warthog. TrackIR, HP Reverb (formermly CV1) Old-N-busted: i7 4720HQ ~3.5GHZ, +32GB DDR3 + Nvidia GTX980m (4GB VRAM) :joystick: TM Warthog. TrackIR, Rift CV1 (yes really).
HHHHHHHHHHH Posted October 26, 2023 Author Posted October 26, 2023 The functionality is now available on the mirage 2000, it would be cool to see it here too.
