North Africa (WWII)

The idea maybe was already mentioned, but what about north africa as WWI theatre. Sadly we would need also one or two italian aircrafts  .

In all these years of DCS we barely have a decent western front environment.

Going for a whole new front would take a literal eternety if you look at how fast the WWII department of DCS works.

I didn't mean that kind of environment, I ment the other type of environment. Map, physics, units etc all contribute to that environment. In other words, I mean the whole package, not just the map.

For the western front, we have by now two nice maps and a decent variety of ground units. But we are lacking some appropriate aircraft selection and sometimes questionable AI behaviour and several smaller details that the WWII era in DCS could benefit from.

Now if you want an africa map, that's all good and nice and yes, of course you could fly the current aircraft over that map. But historical accuracy is simply not checked by doing a map. We lack ground and air units for africa and those I'd say make up a big part of that.

Yes,...but as i mentioned.... Africa needs also at least some more aircrafts...maybe a Macchi MC.202.

I'm all for North Africa, Bob, Norway, eatern front, Greece, Middle East.

But "finish" 1944 first.

It's not that hard, it just require ED to really put resources into it.

I've laid out a relatively "resource friendly " plan before. It only require 1 completely new modual G6.

The rest is either upgrades/expansions of existing moduals (P51B/C) razer back P47.

Or AI assets (Typhoon, various allied bombers, Me110) 

If ED could do this. We'd be relatively "set" for an immesive January 44 to September 1944 Normandy map.  Ideal for the planned dynamic campaign.

We need a Bleriot XI and an Ettrich Taube and then we can recreate the Italo-Turkish War.

The old MAW mod for CFS was a good template (Mediterranean Air War) - loved the dessert / med camo schemes.

Quite a big area… Tunisia to Alexandria on the coast, south into the Sahara, north to Malta, Sicily and Southern Italy

An then there’s also an excellent plane set to pick from as well

(I’d actually favour this to BoB, which could feel very samey to what we already have)
