AJS 37 sunk into ground DCS 2.9

Otulf

Recommended Posts

Hello!

I have a problem with the AJS 37 after the DCS Open Beta 2.9 update.

I use multi thread exe.

The aircraft is sunken into ground when on ground. No problem with AI AJS 37, only when I am player.

I have no problem with the F-18C module either.

The same problem occurs on Caucasus map, Syria map and Sinai map.

I own The South Atlantic map and the persian gulf map but have not installed and tested on them.

Other than that the AJS 37 module works fine as far as I know.

Best regards:

Otulf

This should be a priority cause it is not just visual it does damage my undercarriage when i land. I have also bought the F-4 but i would like to see modules that i have installed and paid for fixed rather then getting a new module a couple of days earlier.

Yep, sounds reasonable to me! Is the F-4 going to be delivered 'broken'?

Hey everyone! Yes, the team is a bit swamped with the Phantom right now, but that doesn't mean at all that other modules will be in any case forgotten or abandoned. We absolutely understand that this causes a lot of inconvenience and of course, it is being looked into. Our apologies for the inconvenience and thank you all for the updates and your kind understanding!

Besides all the modules, even the ‘finished’ ones break at some point when ED changes things around again. So until DCS is finished (like ever!) no module is going to be finished.

So Heatblur you guys are the only company I buy the module on preorder. For the rest I wait until the verdict is out.

Even if it was not on the patch log, I updated today to version 2.9.1.48335 ... unfortunately this bug is still there 😞

Wish I had known about this almost bought it in the sale but took it on a free trial instead.

👍 its great to see a user that actually does his due dilligence before purchasing, I've seen so many others that do impulse buys and then came to complain on the forum about it  🙂

Does it cause damage to the wheels or is it simply a visual anomoly. I couold live with it if it is purely visual but not if it stop you being able to use it properly

No, it is just a visual bug. Here is a recent video of mine, where I taxi over a dirt road and then a rural paved road, before reaching the highway where I would be taking off ... you can see that I had no ill effects from the sunken tires

... hopefully Heatblur will fix this soon 🙏

Thanks for the info and the compliment and am glad I can still use the module and will try and ignore the visuals although it does detract somewhat from the experience but I know Heatblur are working round the clock on the Phantom so I can understand that their resources are stretched just now and I am confident it will be fixed in the not too distant future.

Glad to report that since DCS v2.9.2.49629, this Bug is solved, not only the wheels are not sinking anymore, but the landing gear suspension simulation has been improved.

Thanks Heatblur 🙏

Indeed! But the bug causing static AJS-37 to levitate above the ground is still there though, I was hoping that it was included when I read the changelog 😞

Strange, I did not noticed it on my last mission:

TLK8HJV.jpg

will test it more carefully next time, but on this screenshot the static viggens look fine to me.

Update: Just re-tested and at close range it is more notorious:

Will ping @TOViper so he can make sure that this is indeed reported. Honestly, not a big deal to me, but hopefully it can be fixed without too much effort. 🙏

I can confirm that the AI Viggen is hovering over ground when spawned on the ramp, see screenshot.
Current OB 2.9.2.49629, MT version.
@Silhou, can you please confirm it is in the bugtracker?

I have to add that this problem exists since a very long time (but I think no one reported it), so it is not a side effect of any new update (at least one year I guess) ... 😕

The Viggen 'buried' wheel problem seems to have been fixed in v2.9.2 - thanks guys 🙂 Any chance you could look at the AI Viggen, the wheels hover above any hard standing. Not an issue but it does sort of spoil the immersion.
