TF radar always off

I have met a problem with TF radar: switch is on, NAV pod is on the plane and on, but TF radar is always off. Is it a bug, feature, or I am doing something wrong?

If you ask about does the NAV poad attached to the plane than the answer is yes. It is also turned on and shown as NORM. But TF radar is constantly off, despite position of the switch (no stby mode or on).

 

Regarding short track: I am new to DCS, so what is it?

In the debriefing screen of a single player mission you have the option to save the replay as a track that can be watched by others.

When you turned the switch to on, it is working. It shows you the box, "UNARMED" and "AIRSPEED" as well as "TF FLY UP" messages on the HUD. And soon after you put it back into STBY.

I put it back into STBY because on the TF page it is constantly shown as TF OFF

In that case I suggest you to remove any mods that you have installed and run a repair and then try again.

You mean all non-steam mods (like SU-30, Rafale etc.) or simply all mods, including F-15E?

Mods, unofficial addons like SU-30, Rafale etc. Includes also weapon mods, scripts and other stuff.

Modules, official addons can stay, like F-15E, A-10C or whatever you have.

No effect, still TF off despite the position of the switch.

 

Also, should all buttons on MPD menu work (like BIT, Events etc.) or not?

Not all buttons are implemented yet.

HI.

Couldn't read the entire thread but, did you swith on the lever in front of the throttles?

I ask because I tested it yesterday and found it working ok.

So, TF to ON (lef hand console, left of the ALT RAD lever), and then the lever infront of the throttles. ThenAP to ON.

Well that explains it. TFR has been added with 2.9. Any version below does not have TFR.

That's the DCS Stable version and TF hasn't reached that yet.

If you want to try the latest version

1, Open steam and navigate to DCS in your library.
2. Right click DCS and pick Properties.
3. Click the betas tab and from the drop down select "openbeta - Public beta versions"
