Holding starter

It used to be you had to hold the starter up until you were at 40% I believe. If you let go the engine would spool down. Just recently I went to start up however I didn't seem to need to hold the starter anymore; she just spun up.

Is this a known action or is something wrong on my end?

Once N1 gets to 10% and you release the switch, it will hung a bit, but it will spool up. I think this is a bug.

Unfortunately, flight manual only says to release start switch at 40% N1, doesn't say what will happen if you let go of it beforehand (I presume we will get EGT spike and cooked engine).

Think this was reported soon after the changes were made. Right, @Flappie?
