In fact, it appeared in several posts in various topics, but I see that there is no the one, main about it after 2.9.

The changelog said that the replay system had been improved. In fact, this has always been the "Achilles' heel" of DCS, but I have the impression that nothing or very little has changed.

I recorded several tracks in 2.9 and unfortunately they all played incorrectly. Especially those in which you fought against ground units, which in each recreation basically had their own lives. One time my wingman lived, another time he died, and so on. It never corresponded to what happens in a real mission before.

Hi, First this is what was stated in the changelog:

Quote

Improved Replays/Tracks: Improved track replay for human controlled aircraft by conducting more frequent continuity checks, WIP. - Note, increased track file data size when saved to disk.

It says right in the changelog that these are improvements and that they are for human-controlled aircraft. So things that were big issues such as the wings on the F-14 were improved. This was improved.

Second, this is a bug section, as you know the requirements for a bug report are easy to find, I cannot replicate your problem without a track at the very least. You need to describe what doesn't play back right, how it should have played back and a track included showing the issue. Other facts like AI ground vehicles? CA controlled, etc etc.

These sections are only for bug reports, not commentary, please.

Thanks.

"Human controled ..." explains a lot. I wrote about AI, not human-controlled CA. I know that a track would be useful, but then I would probably have to record a video in real time so that I could then show the discrepancies between the operation of the AI on the ground (real time mission vs track). For now, it's just sharing my opinion. I will try to add more specific examples in some time, thanks.

Here's a track along with a video of the correct replay. When I rerun this track what appears to happen is the player inputs are correct, but the AI goes haywire.

I realize that might be consistent with the update description, but the end result is that the feature still isn't working.
