jojo Posted November 9, 2023 Posted November 9, 2023 Everything is in the title. I read the manual, I tried, but it doesn't seem to work. Mirage fanatic ! rob10 Posted November 9, 2023 Posted November 9, 2023 It's possible it's been broken recently, but last I used it it worked. Post a track of what you're trying (and a description of the problem you're having) and maybe someone can see what you're doing wrong.
jojo Posted November 9, 2023 Author Posted November 9, 2023 - select SEQUFC on HSI - Enter TOT - Select target point - Enter ground speed (or not, I tried with and without). The chevron below speed indication is stuck to the right, no matter what speed I'm flying. I tried to enter TOT matching ETA on HSI, the chevron is still stuck to the right. Mirage fanatic ! What format are you using - local or zulu?
Foka Posted November 9, 2023 Posted November 9, 2023 1. You need to have a target in sequence (it's not this same as designating waypoint as target) 2. You enter TOT in Zulu, with seconds (6 digit).
rob10 Posted November 9, 2023 Posted November 9, 2023 All of the above. This is why you really should post a track rather than just saying what you're doing. Doesn't take much longer and is much more useful to those trying to help. Since you might or might not already be doing the things that have now been suggested to you, if you provide a track people can check those and maybe spot some other simple (yet not obvious) thing that you're missing. Too often these threads go on for multiple pages only to find out that the OP misunderstood or missed something suggested near the top of the 1st page and a track would have cleared it up immediately. 2

Yes, I designated the TOT WPT in the séquence, it's boxed. I would just like to know if somebody managed to make it work in OB 2.9 ? Apparently nobody is using it... First, we are trying to make sure you are doing everything that's required to get it to work (my TOT is working fine). Second, do us and the community a favor and post a track, because if you don't, and it is a bug, someone else will eventually have to post a track. Edited November 9, 2023 by BarTzi 2 1

So it's working for you on OB 2.9. Thanks, that's just what I wanted to know. It wasn't a bug report. Mirage fanatic ! BarTzi Posted November 11, 2023 Posted November 11, 2023 Actually, there might be something wrong with it. At times, I see my req speed growing rapidly when it should not, and it seems to be related to the distance of my plane from the waypoint. That might be the issue you are having.
Poptart Posted November 15, 2023 Posted November 15, 2023 (edited) I used it over the weekend and it worked fine. Edited November 15, 2023 by Poptart
Solution Poptart Posted November 15, 2023 Solution Posted November 15, 2023 (edited) I just ran the mission again. Works fine. Night mission with weather. Launch from carrier and rendezvous with tanker from nearby airbase at Zulu 00:21:10 (03:21:10 local) at WP 1. Information input: Hud showing correct TOT bar: HSI showing correct ground speed: null Edited November 15, 2023 by Poptart
