Rotte
Not sure if this is a bug or a new feature. In the F18 I have a target locked on the FLIR but when I fire the AGM65F goes after a near by target, not the one I have locked. I have only noticed this since the last up dates. Am I missing something? Is this a bug? Is this a new realism change?
bfr
When you say FLIR do you mean the targeting pod or the weapon screen showing the feed from the missile itself pre-release? Where were the expected and actual targets in relation to one another?

The MAV seeker is indeed slaved to the ATFLIR but when it comes to locking to a specific target, the MAV is on its own and will target on IR signature. It might be that the IR signature of the adjacent target is stronger.
ED Team Solution Lord Vader Posted November 24, 2023 ED Team Solution Share Posted November 24, 2023 Hi @Rotte The AGM-65F is a "fire and forget" weapon. It will only acquire what you tell it to acquire. If the target is moving, then it can reacquire another higher contrast target under very specific conditions, but only in the very close vicinity, like an overlapping structure, for example. For that matter, make sure you have a secure and confirmed lock prior to launch. We would need a track replay to understand what you are doing.
