Patrick Bartusch Posted December 9, 2023 Posted December 9, 2023 Is it possible to create a realistic model of the EA-18G Growler with the same functions and capabilities as the real counterpart or is this not possible. Secondly Would it be possible then to create a manual explaining how to use the EA-18G Growler for DCS? Yours sincerely Patrick Bartusch
rob10 Posted December 10, 2023 Posted December 10, 2023 No and no. That stuff (electronic warfare) is on the high end of classification, and ED barely touch on it and only on a highly artificial way in existing aircraft. 1 1
Evoman Posted December 10, 2023 Posted December 10, 2023 Unfortunately anything that is related to electronic warfare is going to have classified systems. The only way around it is going to be when those technologies become obsolete enough to be declassified. So your best bet for electronic warfare aircraft is going to be the older aircraft like the F3D Skyknight or early variants of the EA-6 Prowler. 2
upyr1 Posted December 11, 2023 Posted December 11, 2023 (edited) There is no way we could get an HA Growler, we might be able to get a decent AI one, provided ED improves the EW module. Edited December 11, 2023 by upyr1

We have on the same situation, Someone has "open documents" without restrictions to implement that system, and the correct systems with carry a EA-6A?... that is the problem. Missing many info. Time since retirement isn't a terribly good metric of availability as most governments' defense apparatus doesn't prioritize transparency as other wings of government do. The idea of placing a time period on the declassification of certain equipment is alien to them. Bummer for us, really. 1 Reformers hate him!
