I fixed this problem using the beta version, unfortunately the problem now occurs on both versions.

when I want to select a sound, even if I click on open, the file selection does not take place, absolutely nothing happens.

I think there is a bug

I found the problem
it seems that if an .ogg sound file is poorly compressed or incorrect, it creates a bug in DCS
it becomes completely impossible to add sound files to any mission, a sort of internal link to the simulator with the directory in question where this file is located, prevents any use of sound files thereafter.

the solution is as follows, you must completely delete the files in question from the directory where they are located, immediately when you restart DCS, everything works again.

I think we seriously have to say that this is still a DCS bug and this shouldn't happen.

I hope I can help other people by fixing this problem.

Thank you very much for a solution to this, it has plagued me for a while. When you say ".ogg sound file is poorly compressed or incorrect" could you explain what is correct? I often add concerts to our training missions to play over the radio and I suspect it was one of these that broke it, any idea what compression or settings would be correct?

Hello, sorry I hadn't seen your answer, if the file does not want to open with audiacity, it is because it has a problem, the audiacity software is a very good ogg file generator, I noticed that if you use a converter very often the file is incorrect.

so to summarize, if your file does not want to open with audiacity it is dangerous for DCS
