Sérvalpilot
I see no information on how to get the Pave Penny "laser spot tracker" pod working, even on the newer C variants. Does it do anything? Edited January 31 by Sérvalpilot I got the answer I asked for.

Does it do anything? It's definitely not functional on the DCS A-10C as it was not used anymore on the real A-10C, as it was replaced by the Litening TGP there and just remained on the aircraft for aerodynamic reasons untill a removal was approved eventually. I don't fly the FC3 modules, so I'm not familiar with the A-10A, but taking a quick look at the keybindings of the A-10A I can't see anything in regards to the Pave Penny, so I guess it's not functional on the A-10A either. Sérvalpilot
So it does nothing in DCS?
randomTOTEN
It works (unless it broke since I last tried it). Search this forum for "Pave Penny" EDIT: The Pave Penny is functional in the A-10A it's disabled in the A-10C (replaced with TGP LSS) it's removed entirely from the A-10C(2). AFAIK the A-10A's Pave Penny is enabled by default so players can quickly "spot" a FC3 compatible JTAC's lased target(s) and employ their weapons, etc. The DCS A-10A cannot carry/drop GBU's and IRL 1113 is invalid for GBU-12, etc. Edited January 29 by Ramsay Typos in the original picture 2 2 i9 9900K @4.7GHz, 64GB DDR4, RTX4070 12GB, 1+2TB NVMe, 6+4TB HD, 4+1TB SSD, Winwing Orion 2 F-15EX Throttle + F-16EX Stick, TPR Pedals, TIR5, Win 10 Pro x64, 1920X1080

Thanks for the explanation! Not being able to directly interact with all the knobs and switches in the cockpit and having no in-depth modeling of the various systems just takes me out of the immersion. 2 Intel i7-12700K @ 8x5GHz+4x3.8GHz + 32 GB DDR5 RAM + Nvidia Geforce RTX 2080 (8 GB VRAM) + M.2 SSD + Windows 10 64Bit DCS Panavia Tornado (IDS) really needs to be a thing! randomTOTEN
I personally think that's a misguided opinion, but an enormous number of your fellow users share it.

How can it be a misguided opinion? It's how I myself feel when flying FC3 aircraft. It's not an opinion, it's how I feel. Other people feel different. 2 Intel i7-12700K @ 8x5GHz+4x3.8GHz + 32 GB DDR5 RAM + Nvidia Geforce RTX 2080 (8 GB VRAM) + M.2 SSD + Windows 10 64Bit DCS Panavia Tornado (IDS) really needs to be a thing!
